Godefroy 28-DAY MASCARA Eyelash Gel Tint Review

I’m pretty lazy when it comes to make-up. I usually apply a hint of blusher, mascara, and lipstick, and I usually skip foundation and eyeshadow.

I sometimes skip mascara, too. I have sensitive eyes, and most mascara brands make my eyes itchy. So if I accidentally rub my eyes, I end up smudging my makeup.

This is why I needed a simple solution that gives a hint of color to my lashes so that I skip the mascara application ritual, and avoid smudging my makeup when I rub my eyes (this is a bad habit that I am trying to quit).

I was approached by Godefroy who offered me the chance to try out one of their best sellers, the 28-DAY mascara eyelash gel tint.

The 28-Day Mascara Eyelash Tint is a low-maintenance lash dye for bold and prominent lashes without mascara. 

The brand describes it as “a low-maintenance way to make your lashes appear fuller and more prominent with no mascara needed. It is waterproof, drip-proof, smear-proof, and sweat-proof“.

Applying the 28-Day Mascara Eyelash Tint

The procedure of tinting your eyelashes is easy and fast, it took me a few minutes.

But first, you should do an allergy test by applying it to the inside of your arm, If no visible signs of irritation appear, you may proceed with tinting the lashes, otherwise, you should not use the product. This should always be done whenever you start using a new product. 

I used the eyelash applicator tool, but it could be a bit awkward, especially if you are doing it on your own. Another easy way to apply the tint is by using a spoolie brush. As for me, I took my time applying both products using the small tool enclosed, and it came out beautifully.

There are two solutions that you will need to apply, one is labeled No 1 and the other is labeled No 2.

If you accidentally stain your skin, create a mild exfoliate of water and sugar. Rub gently on the stain and rinse with water.

Pros of using an eyelash tint

There is more than one reason for using the 28-Day Mascara Eyelash Tint from Godefroy, it has long-lasting results as it lasted for about 20+ days before it started fading, which made my morning routine easier.

My overall experience

The process of applying the tint to my eyebrows was much easier than that for my eyelashes, still, using a spoolie brush made it a bit easier.

On the other hand, I already have dark black lashes, so I saw the best results on the tips and roots of my lashes, which is still great for obtaining a natural look without the need to apply mascara every day.

If you have light to medium brown eyelashes, you will see the best results, especially if you have light blond eyelashes; the tint will give you a well-defined look.

On the other hand, I am really impressed by the results I got when applying the tint to my eyebrows. I needed to fill a few gaps in my eyebrows, and the tint did a great job, so I no longer need to use an eyebrow pencil daily as I used to.

I should say that the 28-Day Mascara does not replace your mascara, but it would be a great alternative for summertime since it is waterproof, smear-proof, and sweatproof. It is also the perfect solution for those who would like to skip the mascara ritual in the morning while getting prepared for school or work and also who want to skip cleansing their eyes at night.
