COVERGIRL honored me when they reached out to me with samples of two of their latest products: The Super Sizer by LashBlast® Mascara and Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner also by LashBlast®.

These two CoverGirl products have created a buzz in the media and in the beauty bloggers’ community. I was curious about trying them out, especially that they both looked a bit different from other mascaras and eyeliners I have been using.

CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara by LashBlast®

Since I have very black full lashes (though not full as used to be years ago), I am always looking for a mascara that makes my eyelashes longer. I don’t mind more fuller lashes, though!

CoverGirl The Super Sizer mascara reminds me of my radiant Studio Perfect mascara, both mascaras have rows of bristles, but what makes CoverGirl The Super Sizer mascara unique is that the wand is like a cone shape; thin in the bottom and thick in the end.

In an interview for Allure, Sarah Vickery, the brand’s principal scientist, said that what makes this mascara special is that the tiny bristles get loaded of mascara, and when combing your eyelashes, you get extra volume (thicker lashes), while the longer bristles comb the pigment evenly through to the tips.

Unlike my radiant mascara, CoverGirl The Super Sizer mascara has a wet thick formula that I really LOVE.

How to Apply CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara by LashBlast®

When dipping the wand in, you will notice that it might be loaded with tons of mascara. This might cause clumping, so make sure there is no extra amount of mascara on the lash styler.

To get even coats of mascara, start from the lash line, twirl the Lash styler as you apply mascara while going towards the lash tips. Make sure to wiggle a bit to catch every lash. This is going to give a decent amount of mascara to your lashes, thus giving volume for thicker lashes. I noticed that combing my lashes few times spread the mascara evenly and make them look longer. Also, the cone-shaped wand helps me get to all the corner lashes easily.

I have been using it for weeks now; I usually take my time and don’t rush when testing and writing a review. This new CoverGirl mascara has become one of my favorites. It is a flake-free mascara, clump free (unless you apply too much at a time), and have not irritated my eyes even after 8 hours. In addition, I use my regular eye makeup cleanser for removing my mascara, and it is so easy to remove it (not sure about the waterproof one since I did not try it).

I like the fanned out look that looks like if I have put on some fake lashes 🙂

For about $7, it will not break the bank!

CoverGirl INTENSIFY ME! LIQUID LINER by LashBlast®

Applying liquid eyeliner is a big challenge for me. That is why I always preferred to use classic eye pencil. Still, I sometimes wish to draw eyeliner with high intense color using a liquid liner.

Since I usually use pencil eyeliner, using Intensify Me! eyeliner is something I am used to. This eyeliner makes things much easier as the liner glides on smoothly.

The Intensify Me! Liquid Liner by LashBlast® has a paddle-shaped tip that allows you to go from thick to thin with the same wand just by turning it around when applying the liner. I use the thin tip for drawing fine lines close to my lash line, then use the thick tip for filling for thicker eyeliner.

Though I rarely apply thick dramatic eyeliner, the thick tip can be very useful for more dramatic look.

What I like most about The Intensify Me! Liquid Liner by LashBlast®

For someone who does not apply eyeliner every day, I sometimes forget about my eye makeup and rub my eyes, the result is that my eye makeup becomes a big mess!!

This eyeliner is different. I rubbed my eyes (on purpose) after it dried out several times, and to my surprise, my eyeliner did NOT smudge. This eyeliner stayed in place until I washed my face at the end of the day.
