Lately, I published a guide to using retinol; the number one ingredient in anti-aging products. No! It is not just a trend. Through a whole week, I read a lot of articles written by dermatologists, and skincare specialist and all agreed that retinol is a great ingredient to include in your skincare routine if you are looking for an anti-aging product that works.
I am always careful about what I put on my skin, and I had to research how to use retinol before I start using one. You always need to know what you are using because sometimes there are restrictions that “some” brands do not clarify.
Make sure to read my full guide for retinol creams here.
Today’s post is about a retinol moisturizer that I received from FOXBRIM. FOXBRIM is a brand that I reviewed before when I used FOXBRIM Advanced Moisturizing Vitamin C Serum and FOXBRIM Youthful Radiance Eye cream.
This moisturizer is labeled “Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer“. According to FOXBRIM, they state that this moisturizer is complete because retinol is proven to be a potent antioxidant offering a plethora of exceptional anti-aging benefits.
The full list of ingredients includes the following:
Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Sunflower oil, Palm oil, Pentylene glycol, Phospholipids, Retinol, polysorbate 20, Potassium phosphate, Vitamin E, CassiaAngustifolia seed polysaccharide, Glyceryl stearate, Cetyl alcohol, Stearic acid, Kosher vegetable glycertin, Organic jojoba oil, Green tea, Propolis, Shea butter, Vitamin B5, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl glycerin, Xanthan gum & Citric Acid.
FOXBRIM Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer contains a number of anti-oxidants that help fight the signs of aging such as vitamin A (retinol) found in sunflower oil, vitamin E in sunflower oil and palm oil, and other ingredients for moisturizing your skin like shea butter and aloe.
The package is an opaque airtight pump, great for securing the product and preventing the loss of efficiency by preventing any contact with air and light. You need to look for anti-aging products with packages that do not allow air to light oxidize the sensitive ingredients in your moisturizer, as in FOXBRIM’s moisturizer.
Using FOXBRIM Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer
Just as I mentioned in my post about retinol; you need to start slow. Being a 1% retinol moisturizer, FOXBRIM Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer is a good choice for beginners like me. I used it along with FOXBRIM vitamin C serum (reviewed here), and FOXBRIM eye cream (reviewed here). FOXBRIM Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer looks like a thick moisturizer, but once you apply it, it is absorbed fast, no greasy feeling, and no sticky feeling at all. It has a light scent that disappears quickly.
I like using it when I am in a hurry since I can apply foundation directly afterward; no need to wait until my skin absorbs the moisturizer. Just like its eye cream, FOXBRIM Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer is a good base under makeup.
Two weeks after I started using it, my skin felt smooth, my pores are smaller, and it gives my skin a tight feeling afterward. I did not notice any reduce in the appearance of dark spots or fine lines, but as you probably know, retinol creams with low retinol percentage will take a longer period to show visible results. All I am sure of is that I am using a good product that combines retinol with other anti-oxidants.
My overall Experience
FOXBRIM Complete Anti-aging Moisturizer is a great anti-aging moisturizer for all skin types, especially oily and combination skin, like mine. I like the tight feeling it gives my skin, it is not thick, but still moisturizes my skin quite well with no oily finish, and that would be great for particularly hot summer time. Unlike other retinol moisturizers that may dry your skin, FOXBRIM moisturizer did not dry my skin, so I did not need to top it with another moisturizer, which saves money and time!
I recommend using it for beginners who wants to try retinol products, who have oily to combination skin, and who are 30+. You can find Foxbrim Complete Anti-Aging Moisturizer at Amazon for $16.95. Make sure to combine it with FOXBRIM vitamin C serum, and FOXBRIM eye cream.
*Though the brand sent me this product for review, all opinions are my own, and completely based on my own experience.

Great! Finally I’ve found a product that can actually eliminate my oils. I’ve tried several other products but to no avail. It just added the oil to my face rather than remove it. I hope that this time Foxbrim will work for me. Thanks for this review.
