When I purchased my Braun Silk-épil 7 (Wet & Dry) two years ago, the seller suggested that I buy the one with the face brush (Braun Silk-épil 7 SkinSpa). I stared at that brush, it was the first time that I see a face brush! I told him that I am not interested. He did not mention the benefits of that brush, if he did, I might have bought it!
Months later, I regretted not buying it!
Last year, I saw lots of new sonic skincare brushes in the market and online. But one of them got my attention; the Soniclear Antimicrobial Sonic Cleansing System.
I was very lucky when I received an offer from Michael Todd to try Soniclear Antimicrobial Sonic Cleansing System. I guess December have been my lucky month; I received great value products, and gained about 1500 new followers on my Facebook page 😀 Could not get any better!
My package arrived fast, and it was well packed. When I opened it, I found a user guide, with a fully detailed illustration of how to use Soniclear.
Soniclear box included:
- 1 Soniclear Device
- 1 Antimicrobial Face Brush Head with Cover
- 1 Antimicrobial Body Brush Head with Cover
- 1 Charging Stand
- 1 Charging Cord
Color and design of Soniclear is very beautiful, but I do not recommend this sonic skin care system for just the design and color. Many features make it unique, including:
- Soniclear brushes have built-in life antimicrobial product protection; i.e. it stays clean and fresh for longer. (Soniclear recommend replacing the brush head after 6 months of continuous use. Price is only $25 for a new brush!).
- Waterproof, so it is safe to use in the bath and shower.
- Cordless, you need just to charge it, and then use it anywhere you want.
- Cleansing Timer for even and thorough cleansing. It has a built-in automatic timer that beeps to remind you to move to another cleansing area.
The Best Way to Use Soniclear Antimicrobial Sonic Cleansing System
To make the best use of Soniclear, you need to cleanse your skin while the pores are open. I like to cleanse my skin AFTER taking my shower since the vapor will open my pores. I wet the brush and apply organic Jojoba Creme Scrub from Skin Essential (review here) to my skin. I like that Soniclear beeps to remind me that I should move to another area. This ensures proper cleansing to my skin.
Brushes are very soft, so even after waxing my skin; it does not irritate my skin.
I like the way my skin feels and look after cleansing using Soniclear; it is cleaner, softer, and absorbs my skincare products much better. The best part is that I got rid of black and white heads on the T-zone. Black and white heads were one major problem for me, and not all cleansers and scrubs were effective in removing them efficiently. Vitamin C serum helped reduce blackheads, but I needed a better way to clean deep in pores; Soniclear was the answer for my problem.
In addition, my arms and legs tend to dry in winter, exfoliation is a good way for removing dry skin, but Soniclear made it easier to achieve soft skin.
How to Extend your Soniclear Antimicrobial Brush Lifetime?
- Clean the brush head with warm soapy water before and after each use. It is also important NOT to share the brush heads with someone else for sanitary reasons. But it would be great if the brushes are available in different colors; that way each family member will have his/her brush and there would be no way to mix them up.
- Use with exfoliating scrubs with soft rounded particles, or your daily cleanser.
- Follow the instructions in the user guide, read and store for future reference.
Soniclear vs Clarisonic
There are other sonic skin care systems on the market starting at $20 up to $265. Each has its features, advantages, and disadvantages. Let us take Clarisonic as an example; brushes should be replaced every 3 months ($27-$32). Remember that Soniclear recommend replacing the brushes every 6 months.
While Soniclear has two heads; face brush and body brush with 6 speeds depending on your skin’s needs, Clarisonic has 13 different brushes, making it difficult to choose between Satin Precision Contour Brush Head and Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head, for example. Finally, Clarisonic can be more expensive than Soniclear, depending on the model you choose (up to $265).
My Overall Experience
There are plenty of sonic skin care systems in the market, but only Soniclear has a built in antimicrobial protection, in addition, brushes need to be replaced fewer times than many other brands. It cleanses my skin efficiently without irritating my skin, helps get rid of ingrown hair on legs through removing the upper dead skin layer, it is also easy to use and clean. In addition, when thinking about maintenance, Soniclear is much cheaper in the long run. You can also buy organic skin care products by Michael Todd to use with your Soniclear. Visit their website for further details. Soniclear is also available on Amazon.

Thank you, Allison!
It is a pleasant experience indeed. I enjoyed using both brushes, the body brush was very helpful in helping me get rid of ingrown hair on my legs.
The antimicrobial feature is a unique one that is very essential. That way you make sure that your brushes are always clean as they should be.
Will be waiting for your review 🙂

It amazes me how much one has to go to get proper skincare. “Clarisonic can be more expensive than Soniclear, depending on the model you choose (up to $265).”… Really expensive.
