When I was in my twenties, I used to moisturize my skin and use sunscreen on a regular basis. One thing that I admit I missed (and I totally regret it), is that I did not use an eye cream.
I did not start using an eye cream until I was 30+. I know it is not too late to do that, but it is always better to start early. Using an eye cream is not necessary, you can use your daily moisturizer for the area around your eyes, but the point is that I neglected the area around my eyes. Fine lines and dark circles are already there š I know it is never too late, and that is why I now moisturize the area around my eyes twice a day.
In my attempt to cure dark circles around my eyes, I used an eye cream with vitamin C, vitamin C serum, and homemade remedies like green tea bags. Nevertheless, I did not reach my goals, not yet.
Recently, I received Youthful Radiance Eye cream from FOXBRIM, a brand whose mission is to “provide the highest quality premium all-natural products and deliver absolute beauty.”
Looking at the ingredients, we see a long list of ingredients including:
Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe Vera, Jojoba Esters, Glycolic Acid, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil), Green Tea Leaf Extract, Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose Oil), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Wildcrafted Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright), Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu Oil), Wildcrafted Mahonia Aquifolium, Helichrysum Italicum, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Organic Rosa Canina (Rosehip Seed Oil), Squalane, Lactic Acid, Isopropyl Palmitate (Palm Oil), Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), Phytic Acid, Phospholipids, Tocopheryl (Antioxidant), Lecithin, Pyrus Malus (Apple), Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon), Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane), Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass), Butylene Glycol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Sclerotium Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol.
Foxbrim promises that their eye cream will:

– Bring back to life tired and worn skin

– No additives or fragrances
The packaging is a pump type, releases a small amount, just enough for your under eye area, besides giving the cream protection from contamination. It is also small, and very practical. I can easily put it in my small handbag. The texture of this cream in neither light nor heavy, it moisturizes quite well without leaving any greasy feeling. It also works well as a base under concealer (and perfect under cream concealer).
In addition, it absorbs quickly and gives a feeling of tight skin around the eye. That feeling gives that look of youthful eyes and brings back life to my tired eyes, but I noticed that this lasts for only a few hours. So it is just a temporarily effect.
The main 4 ingredients in this eye cream are:
- Vitamin C that lightens your skin and promotes the formation of new collagen.
- Vitamin E, known for its moisturizing power.
- Aloe, which is a great moisturizer and healing factor for skin
- Green tea that is full of anti-oxidants necessary for your skin (and your hair, too).
This cream moisturizes my skin around my eyes very well, it also works well with my concealer, and it makes my skin looks firmer around my eyes. But, as I mentioned, I was looking for more than just a moisturizer, I was hoping that it could lighten my dark circles.
Unfortunately, I did not notice any reduce in my dark circles.
I used it for a whole month hoping that it will reduce my dark circles, especially that the first claim on their Amazon page is about dark circles. They even commit to a 100% money back guarantee in case you did not like their product.
If you are looking for an eye cream that is light, organic, cruelty-free and works as a good base under concealer, this is the one! You can buy it at Amazon. But if you are looking for a treatment for dark circles, I am sorry, it won’t work, at least, not for very dark circles like mine.
I am not very disappointed, but still, not 100% satisfied.
What about you, have you found your 100% perfect eye cream? Tell me about it.
