Dry flaky face
What could be worse than a dry flaky face? Fortunately, there are few easy things you can do about it.
Solution:
- Avoid skin products that contain alcohol. Alcohol makes your face lose moisture fast, leaving it dry and flaky by time.
- Wash your face with mild cleanser. Use L’Occitane Verdon Pure Face Wash that will gently purify the skin by removing excess sebum and impurities, then apply moisturizer while your face is still wet. Use a thick moisturizer at night, too.

Rough elbow
Your skin in this area is thick, and it tends to lose moisture fast. That is why you need to take good care of this area by simple skin care routine; a mild exfoliator once or twice a week would be fine. L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Scrub is a good choice if you are looking for a gentle and effective exfoliation. Then apply a thick moisturizer, and just before going to bed, apply Vaseline or L’Occitane Pure Shea Butter to seal in moisture, cover with a piece of cotton and leave it on all night long. If you prefer DIY exfoliator ( like I do! ) sugar and olive oil is a great exfoliator that can do wonders for your skin 🙂
Dry hands
Your hands are always exposed to weather changes, which causes dehydration. The solution is applying an oily layer on your dry hands in order to prevent losing moisture from them. In addition, wear gloves when you are outside, when you wash dishes, and especially when using harsh chemicals. Apply a thick moisturizer several times a day and especially before bedtime.
I have been using shea butter for a while now, and it moisturizes my dry hands, you can try L’Occitane Pure Shea Butter, which you can use on your hands, elbows, feet, and even hair.
Chapped lips
Cold dry weather causes your lips to dry, but there is also other factors that cause chapped lips like licking your lips, and applying lip balm extensively throughout the day. That is because the lip balm will cover the dead cells on your lips, and makes it harder for dead cells to peel.
You can try some natural exfoliators like sugar and honey to get rid of dead skin accumulating on your lips.
Cracked dry feet
Dry feet can be a serious and annoying problem. Even so, dry feet are still easy to cure, though you will need more time than dry hands
and face. You can cure dry feet by applying a thick moisturizer and wearing cotton socks for better absorption of the cream. Another good product for curing dry feet is Baby Foot, which not only peel the dead skin cells off but also add moisture to the dry feet.

Great info and recommendations! I have super dry skin, so I do all the things you suggest. I also have added hyaluronic acid serum to my facial skincare regimen to attract more moisture deep into my skin and to fortify my skin’s barrier. Especially in winter, it really makes a difference. For my dry feet, I do a amber-colored mouthwash (Listerine) and white vinegar and warm water soak that helps my loofah get the dead skin off my feet!
