Once you start using natural, green beauty products you will definitely notice the difference between what is derived from nature and what is loaded with all kinds of harsh chemicals.
Your skin also can tell the difference, whether it is eczema, itchy skin, acne, it tells you in one way or another that you are harming your skin, and that you have to act fast.
I am glad that I made the switch to natural clean products, and I hope that my blog posts are inspiring you to do the same, too.
As being a judge for the Clean Beauty Awards launched by CertClean, I was introduced to one of the Canadian natural beauty brands, Moor Spa.
About Moor Spa
Moor Spa’s skincare and body care products contain Austrian Moor, which is a natural form of nutrient-rich peat created 10000 years ago by the gradual transformation of herbs, plants & flowers, which have been permanently submerged underwater or underground.
Moor Spa provides a safe solution for different skin and body care needs. It consists of a wide range of cleansers, toners, eye care, moisturizers, serums, masks, body products, hair care, and sun care products. There are products for all skin types, as well as certain skin issues.
100% naturally derived. And CertClean certified.
I received three products, kelzyme mask, nourishing facial oil, and the hydrating serum.
KELZYME MASK
This is a great natural mask with sea kelp, enzymes, and minerals that exfoliate, deep cleanse your skin, and improve skin tone. It could be used for all skin types. Well, I have combination skin, and it worked quite well on my skin.
It is recommended to cleanse your skin before applying the mask as this removes excess oil and buildup from your skin, thus helps the mud mask adhere to your skin easier.
Unlike other mud masks, Moor Spa mask does not have that weird mud smell, just a light appealing scent.
I found it easy to apply since it is packed in a tube, so you don’t need to dip your fingers in a jar, and this also helps keep your sink and bathroom clean.
This mask is supposed to exfoliate your skin, the texture is creamy and smooth, and so even if you scrub your face when applying, though you don’t have to, it won’t irritate your skin.
I really liked how my skin felt soft and smooth afterward.
You will notice the difference from the first use; so definitely worth trying.
Ingredients Used:
Aqua, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Kelzyme), Bentonite, Magnesium Aluminium ,Silicate, Propanediol, Glycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Natamycin, Lavandula, Angustifolia Oil.
HYDRATING SERUM
Serums are widely used for different purposes and are always a great way to give your skin an extra amount of moisture and nutrients.
Moor Spa hydrating serum is good for dry, sensitive skin since it contains hyaluronic acid and kelp extract. Nevertheless, you still can use it if you have combination skin as I do, it did not leave my skin oily, and my skin absorbed the serum quite fast, making my skin feels smooth.
It also provides your skin with antioxidants like vitamin C to help reduce the signs of aging and sun damage.
The serum is easy to use; it has a light creamy texture and is stored in an airless pump bottle, therefore protects the delicate ingredients in the bottle, and prevents contamination. The pump also lets you regulate how much comes out, so no wasted products.
Ingredients Used:
Aqua, Plankton Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Propanediol, Lauryl Lactate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Heilmoor Clay, Oleyl Erucate, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Sea Kelp) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Glycerin, Algin, Rosmarinus , Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Lactic Acid, Ectoin
NOURISHING FACIAL OIL
Moor Spa facial oil is a blend of rosehip, kukui, and argan oils. It provides your skin with revitalizing nutrients including fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.
It has a pleasant fragrance of rose otto essential oil.
It is stated on the bottle that it is good for acne-prone skin, helps with skin issues like dryness, lack of firmness, sensitivity, and signs of aging. And I must say that it does it all!
Most of the time, facial oils leave my skin oily, greasy, and sticky. So I usually avoid using them, especially under makeup. I was surprised how Moor Spa facial oil disappeared instantly deep in my skin, my skin looked nourished, smooth, and ready to put on my makeup without that oily finish, even on my t-zone.
Ingredients Used:
Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Tocopherol, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Heilmoor Clay.
I really enjoyed using these products from Moor Spa, especially that my skin tends to dry in cold winter months, and they were good enough to nourish my combination skin without making my skin sticky and oily.
I should also mention that all products are free from gluten, nuts, dairy, soy, and vegan friendly. Moor Spa also uses eco-friendly packaging materials; biodegradable d2w packaging, as a move towards going green. Make sure to visit their website for more details Moor Spa.
